Raw chocolate treats

Raw chocolate bites with lots of goodness


Peanut butter1/2 cup
Brown granulated sugar1/3 cup
Molasses2 tablespoons
Cocoa butter1 cup
Vanilla essence1 teaspoon
Oats2 cups
Desiccated coconut1 cup
Cocoa powder1/4 cup
Macca powder1/4 cup
Dark chocolate100g
MilkA few tablespoons


1In a pan gently melt the peanut butter, brown sugar, molasses, cocoa butter and vanilla essence. As soon as the cocoa butter is melted take the pan off the heat; the idea being that some of the brown sugar will not have dissolved leaving crystals of sugar which has a lovely effect.
2In a bowl combine the oats, desiccated coconut, cocoa and macca powder.
3Pour the peanut butter mixture into the oats and mix thoroughly.
4Press into a suitable bowl or tin and put into the freezer.
5In a pan gently heat the chocolate and milk. Once melted pour over the cocoa treats and spread evenly.
6Put back into the freezer. Once set leave to defrost and cut into squares. Store in the freezer. Serve defrosted.
